Summer Road Trip Jams

Sup jammers? I just got back from a ten hour road trip to Colorado and prepared and packed one of the most essential items to any road trip that I wanted to share with you: a stellar playlist to enhance the drive. I think I spent an entire day sifting through music blogs and sites for new summer tunes that were of the highest road trip quality that I was searching for, and it honestly was not easy with the amount of music that gets put out there these days, but I can now confidently say that the finished product is pretty baller and I think you all are going to like it. By the way, I have to send out a props to everyone who sent me recommendations because they were far better than a good 80% of the blogs I looked through. So thank you.

The original playlist started with over 60 tracks featuring multiple songs from certain artists, but I have condensed it to the top 23 jams that made the drive highly enjoyable. If you aren't going on a road trip anytime soon, I know personally that these songs will also enhance trips to the grocery store, bike rides along the river, and kick-backs by the pool, so do with it as you wish.

Now, for the highly anticipated set list...

1) Settle Down (Polaris at Noon Remix) - Kimbra
2) Paralyzed - Oddisee
3) How Long Must I Wait? - Dr.   Dog
4) Take a Walk - Passion Pit
5) Five Seconds - Twin Shadow
6) Eighth Avenue - Hospitality
7) Swollen Hearts, Bitten Tongues- Young Romance
8) Disparate Youth - Santigold
9) What You Do to Me - The Black Keys
10) The Rifle's Spiral - The Shins
11) Water Hymn - Painted Palms
12) Stubborn Love - The Lumineers
14) The Mall and Misery - Broken Bells
15) How Bizzare - OMC
16) Empire Ants - Gorillaz
17) Lost In The Light - Bahamas
18) Wishes - Beach House
19) Radio - Lana Del Rey
20) Night Vision Binoculars - Passenger
21) Don't Move - Phantogram
22) A Walk - Tycho
23) I Love It - Icona Pop

Now, it's also essential that every road trip playlist has at least one throwback jam. In my case and on this particular day, it had to be How Bizzare by OMC, but feel free to insert your preferred throwback there in the mix. May it also be known that every road trip also allows for at least 1 selfie while on the road with the ability to maintain the same level of coolness that was in order before you hit the pavement. ;) Jam on!
