The Chieftains- Down in the Willow Garden ft. Bon Iver

Jam: Down in the Willow Garden featuring Bon Iver
Good to jam when: Tracing ye' Irish roots, me lads

What better way to top the morn' than a release of a collaboration between Bon Iver and The Chieftains, the six time Grammy winners known as Ireland's Musical Ambassadors who are now celebrating their 50th anniversary of bringing traditional Irish music to not only the Pope and Queen Elizabeth II, but to even the more proletariat lads and lassies who lack a little green in them worldwide. Their new album titled "Voice of Ages" will be released February 21st through (Hear/Concord) and is most definitely worthy of checking out not only because of their highly acclaimed Irish baller-ness, but also because of the insanely impressive lineup of collaborations featured in the mix. Just to name-drop a few who we can expect great things from... we have future singles with The Civil Wars, The Decemberists, Lisa Hannigan and even those sneaky little Secret Sisters whom I posted on a while back. Also, check out the documentary preview of the forthcoming album down below and get excited because there is now cool Irish music to show!

Even from the looks of this short video, the song from The Decemberists appears highly jammable. Much patient waiting we have, haven't we?
